Girl’s trips are the best! It’s a time for complete relaxation and we chose Gothenburg as our destination. How lucky we were to pick a weekend when the city was hosting a music and culture festival which created an awesomely vibrant atmosphere. I can’t remember the last time I visited a city so alive! Saturday was a day for meandering and absorbing the city highlights and I wore this super comfy cargo and a grey marl t-shirt with a colourful scarf.
The military trend has been huge this season and is set to continue into AW15 (I won’t ramble on about this trend as I’ve already done one post on it here – Khaki Jumpsuit). This sateen cargo from 7 For All Mankind is so incredibly comfortable, the feel of the fabric is luxurious and warm and this pair is going to get a lot of wear this coming winter! I’ve worn this with a t-shirt for a relaxed weekend feel. Bimba Y Lola has an amazing collection of printed scarfs and this one was a great addition to lift my outfit. I’ve completed the look with lace-up sandals (tan and khaki green is one of my favourite colour combinations) and my Pauric Sweeney bag, the neutral colours of this bag makes it one of my most versatile accessories!
I feel compelled to share a couple of highlights from Gothenburg too. The Haga district is a must visit, Haga Nygata is a charming pedestrianized street lined with colonial style wooden buildings. The street is filled with boutique shops and cafes (can’t beat shopping and fika!) – Café Husaren on this street is popular for their cinnamon buns and it was delicious! Riverton Skybar is also a great place for drinks/dinner, the views are stunning from there, incredible service and the most delicious dessert!
